Operating since the 1920's, Burkes Cycles has been an active part of the Wellington bicycle trade. First known as Burke Bros, we're proud to be a family business. We've sold famous bike brands like Rudge, Raleigh, Humber, Claude Butler, Empire and Chase since the beginning and now, more than 80 years later, we have seen plenty of changes in the cycling business. The Burke family still owns and operates Wellington's premier bike shop - but we aren't just a local bike, part and cycling gear store anymore! In 1998 we undertook a major expansion to create a new home for the Burkes Cycles store and bike repair shop. With 4000 square feet of space, we're able to house far more bike and cycling accessories inventory. We've also spent a lot of time creating an online store in New Zealand that lets anyone buy parts, clothing, nutritional products and even accessories from around the country.
